Coming Soon - Classic Army CA416 (HK416)

Well, as excited as I was to hear about the upcoming release of Classic Army’s HK416 remake, the CA416, I was again disappointed by a lack of trademarks on the gun. I know, I know - if I want a pretty HK416, I can always get a VFC.  But for once, I’d like my workhorse AEG to look as good as it performs.  VFC guns are great, but are pricey here in Canada, and there is no way I would use one as my primary AEG. It’s a show piece.

Myself (like many other CA product owners I’m sure) am beginning to wonder if CA is even making an effort to get their product traded.  If a company like JG can put an HK logo on the side of an AEG, CA has GOT to be able to.  If CA has no intention of trading their products, then I’d love to see the price drop to reflect it.

One of our readers may know more about the legalities surrounding H&K licensing, so feel free to chime in.

I for one, am rather disappointed.  I’ve always been impressed with the rigidity and feel of any CA product I’ve owned, and it would be wonderful if they could start backing up their products with trades (and a factory-upgraded mechbox, but that’s another story).

Here are the pics:

As for where to buy, you lucky Americans will be able to purchase this from Spartan Imports (hopefully shortly), us Canadians are at the mercy of the first retailer able to shove a load of these up their arse from whatever source available to you.

UPDATE: Here is a YouTube vid of this gun in action. Thanks to spartan117 on ASC for the video URL.

Note the functional bolt release and charging handle. A first for Classic Army, if memory serves.

Peace.
