Airsoft Fun - PIMP MY AIRSOFT!

http://dragonflyteam.free.fr/pimpmyairsoft/

Probably the most fun I’ve had with a “dollmaker” web script ever.  I won’t get into my previous engagements with it, but this “Pimp My Airsoft!” site deserves good mention.

Above is a sample (albeit a tame one) of something you can create with it.  I re-created my JG HK416 Custom job as a pixel-art GIF.

Using it is incredibly easy - just make sure you let the entire page load before you use it.

To use it (taken directly from the page itself):

  1. Wait for the page to load fully (1 mn or more) until to see “amusez vous bien” box (”enjoy” in French)
  2. At the top of the page is a square with a “PIMP MY AIRSOFT” title. That’s your work area.
  3. At the middle of the page is a selection of guns. Click on a family.
  4. Parts will appear at the bottom of the page.
  5. Double click the part to put it in your work area. You can also drag it to your work area or around it (but the parts (out) won’t appear on the final picture.
  6. To delete a part, right click the part and click ‘EFFACEZ’
  7. To put a part forward an other , right click the part and click “mettre devant”
  8. When satisfied with your creation, click the “CONSTRUIRE” box.
  9. A DollMaker page will load, with a small error. Click OK…then your creation is display! Click the diskette icon or right click to save to your HD

If your connection is rather slow (I was using it on a low-signal WiFi connection at the time), you may need to reload the page to see all the images of the various components you can attach to your gun.  I also found that double-clicking the part was easier than trying to click+drag the part to the work area.

Needless to say, you can have a LOT of fun with this.

Kudos to it’s creator, nougou51, on the Airsoft Canada Forums.
