All you lucky Edmontonians (and Calgarians, why not) can now enjoy your very own airsoft shop.
It’s official!
Doors will be unofficially opened next monday, and the grand opening is being held on Saturday, July 18th, 2009. There will be baking (courtesy of my lovely wife), drinks, door prizes, sales, a raffle for a KJW Hicapa or an Aftermath Kraken, and some door crasher specials on Krakens and more, available ONLY in store!
Scaar and the boys over at Airsoft Austria TV started up a YouTube channel you should check out.
If you’re looking for funny shit, with some useful advice, they’ve got you covered.
Two of my personal favourites so far, have been the “Scar VS Scar VS Scar VS Scar” video review & “The 10 Commandments of Airsoft”. I’ve embedded them below for your viewing enjoyment.
Send them a few bucks if you have some to spare. Keep the videos flowin’.
Few more parts came in today, so I had an opportunity to get it put together.
Cosmetically, this is about it. I’m tossed up between the 10″ barrel, or the full M4-length, so I got a 10″ barrel with an extension on it to make it the regular M4-length.
Mechanically, there’s nothing to brag about. I bought one of those drop-in D-BOYS M4 V2 mech-boxes, originally for spare parts (springs, primarily) – but I got too lazy to build it tonight.
Looks like you lucky Edmontonians are going to get a brand spanking new airsoft shop.
Jeff Baker of Capital Airsoft, located in Edmonton, AB, is currently and actively looking to open a part time retail shop/office for business purposes.
He aims to open the doors to “Capital Airsoft Edmonton” by mid-July. This semi-public access office will allow for more stock, better organization, and better service. Capital Airsoft will be hosting regular gatherings, BBQs, movie nights, and more at the new location.
Sounds like blasty-blast if you ask me. As a matter of fact, I believe I’ll be in Edmonton in August for my day-job. I’ll have to pop in and spend some $$$.
More updates to come.
Congrats Jeff, and all you lucky Edmonton Airsofters
I’m in the process of instigating some major change for the site and it’s content. Existing content will not be lost, URLs won’t change – but I’m sure you’ll like the new features the site will have to offer.
“Loads of fun.” was the term heard most at the event (OK, that and “HIT!”). And rightfully so.
From the mini-OPs, the laser shooting range, and the “live target shoot” – the event was a grade-A success on all accounts.
I tried to participate in as many things as I could to get a good feel of the day, and I wasn’t let-down anywhere I went. The food was cheap – and damn tasty. The game Admins were fair – and everywhere they needed to be (especially with a large number of new players running around). Read the rest of this entry »
